Cultivating Equanimity and being with what is here, now
Theme » Finding our point of stillness
Enquiry » Can I find equanimity in the midst of what's unresolved?
Invocation » Anything that pulls be out of my present moment experience, I release into the fire! SWAHA
Mantra » OM NAMA SHIVAYA
Our Midpoint is our Still-Point, learning to be with 'what is'
Hinging on the equinox theme-- the cosmic metaphor of perfect balance and being at the midpoint of cycles-- we will be exploring our own midpoint between beginnings and endings; when we're in process and don't yet have the insight or life lesson that our soul is exploring.
How is it to be with 'what is' -- when we're not in the excitement of the beginning nor the satisfaction of completion? What does that feel like and how do we bring softness to our own process?
For this ceremony, we invite in that greater presence of Awareness to aid us in feeling balanced and equanimous, and to allow us to drop into a much larger timeline of beginnings and endings; where we can come to a recognition that Life is happening for us, not to us. We will be invoking the embodied wisdom of Shiva and the mantra Om Nama Shivaya.
Integrating your experience
Thank you all so much for your heart-felt participation. For myself, I am struck by the rich wisdom from our circle; so many insights and offerings of how we can, with more ease, relate to our present moment experience regardless of what is arising. So much resonated, and also offered a new fresh way to orient to Life.
This ceremony was especially meaningful as I navigated chaotic relationships and what could have been really destablizing and disturbing thoughts, or wound patterns, leading into the ceremony. Our intention of residing within our mid-point helped me to dig deep into the place within me that can not be disturbed, and to align my awareness to that; the ever-present undistrubable Shiva.
These poems were the medicine needed, and felt completely congruent to share in our ceremony, meeting intention and purpose of the mantra.
ACCEPT WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW
Never waste time and energy wishing
you were somewhere else,
doing something else.
Accept where you are right now,
doing what you’re doing right now,
for a very specific reason.
Know that nothing is by chance,
You have certain lessons to learn
and the situation you are in has been given to you
to learn those lessons as quickly as possible
so you can move forward along this spiritual path.
Know that you are a unique human being
only once on this earth
and by no extraordinary chance
will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity
as you are right now
ever be put together a second time.
JUST FOR NOW
by Donna Faulks
Just for now, without asking how, let yourself sink into stillness.
Just for now, lay down the weight you so patiently bear upon your
shoulders.
Feel the earth receive you, and the infinite expanse of sky grow even
wider as your awareness reaches up to meet it.
Just for now, allow a wave of breath to enliven your experience.
Breathe out whatever blocks you from the truth.
Just for now, be boundless, free, awakened energy tingling in your
hands and feet.
Drink in the possibility of being who and what you really are
so fully alive that when you open your eyes
the world looks different,
newly born and vibrant,
just for now.
We all have the opportunity to embody the qualities of OM Namah Shivaya. May this mantra be with you as you move forward in Life.
If you would like extra support at this time to integrate your experience, please reach out.
The Power of Ritual: Amplifying Intentions with Cacao, Fire, Mantra, and Meditation
Using the heart opening technologies of Cacao, Mantra, Fire Havan & Kirtan to clarify our intention and bring it forth into the world
In these power-filled ceremonies, we create space to get clear on our personal and collective intention; and then we amplify this by opening our heart with the aid of the cacao elixir, purifying our mind with the fire havan and sacred mantra, and shifting into heart-mind coherence using the practice of kirtan and meditation. It's quite the formula!
We offer invocations to welcome, or call upon that particular aspect of divinity within our Self and within the cosmos. As above, so below; what is within the whole is within us also.
