Returning Home to our Inner Being

Following on from our last equinox ceremony, where we invoked the expansive consciousness of Shiva with the Om Nama Shivaya mantra, this ceremony we turn inwards, heading towards the waters of the womb, the celestial home of life, nourishment and being-ness.

It is, according to many ancient traditions, the womb that gave us the blue-print of connection to spirit and matter, and the memory of what it is to reside in our original nature. In the womb, we did not need to pursue, push, pull or prove our worth in order to be in connection and nourishment. It is the seed of our Knowing of 'home'. It is our remembering of being-ness.

This winter solstice we feel the call to turn towards our innermost home and invoke the solace of this remembering.

Returning home. What does that feel like?

We will explore this in connection with our Self, our collective circle and with spirit.

To ready your Self for this ceremony, you may like to listen to this beautiful version of the Mahamrityunjaya mantra (listen on YouTube). Please don't feel any need to learn it, just let yourself soak in it, allowing the mantra to absorb, like a breath, into your consciousness. Play it while doing the dishes, or having a bath for instance. The more you listen, the more it will settle into your mind-body.

We will use this mantra for our fire havan (don't worry, there are many who know it and can hold it if you feel intimidated by it, it is equally enough to be in silent presence with this mantra).

This, the great mantra in vedic tradition, among many aspects, frees us from our primal fears, and readies us for returning home to True Self. To our Being-ness.

We look forward to sharing the warmth of winter and 'home' with you all. Cacao, fire ceremony and kirtan will enliven our soul and connection to this remembering of Home.

Home is where we started, and where we return

here's a wonderful passage that I found by chance today, by Anodea Judith (author of Eastern Body, Western Mind) about what it means to return home to the Goddess.

In the beginning, everything was HOME. Home is a word that incorporates OM but connects us to where we are. Home is where we come from, and it's the place we return to at the end. Home is the vast cosmos, and home is the earth. Home is the womb we emerged from and the inner space of your own body. Home is wherever you are at any given moment. It is the single planet we share together.

Together, we are hOMe - I love it :-)

Integrating your experience

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् |

उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृतात् ||

Aum Tryambakam yajaamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam |

Urvaarukamiva bandhanaan-mrityormuksheeya maamritaat ||

Thank you all so much for your heart-felt participation in our winter havan ceremony last night. I dearly love the Mahamrityunjaya mantra but I remember it taking me years to learn. I'm struck by the morphic resonance field that, it seems, we all tapped into last night. It was like this mantra lived within our collective heart-memory; chanted with power, with devotion, with unity. It was a big energy last night.

Thank you all for showing up and offering your Self into our collective field of healing and home-coming. May you ground this energy into your home as you move forward in Life.

If you would like extra support at this time to integrate your experience, please reach out.

The Power of Ritual: Amplifying Intentions with Cacao, Fire, Mantra, and Meditation

Using the heart opening technologies of Cacao, Mantra, Fire Havan & Kirtan to clarify our intention and bring it forth into the world

In these power-filled ceremonies, we create space to get clear on our personal and collective intention; and then we amplify this by opening our heart with the aid of the cacao elixir, purifying our mind with the fire havan and sacred mantra, and shifting into heart-mind coherence using the practice of kirtan and meditation. It's quite the formula!

We offer invocations to welcome, or call upon that particular aspect of divinity within our Self and within the cosmos. As above, so below; what is within the whole is within us also.
